Supporting our community

Supporting local communities has always been a part of our DNA at ITM. Most of our 92 stores around Aotearoa support a local club, school or a charity-based organisation through sponsorship.

Our sponsorships are about more than just donating money though. They're about helping uplift the communities that we live in. We're pleased to showcase some of our stores' incredible work in their local communities.

Kaikoura ITM

After the significant damage caused by the 2016 Kaikoura earthquake, Kaikoura ITM stepped up and became one of the major players in the town's rebuilding process. When looking at the Kaikoura Aquatic Centre, Sam and Richard at Kaikoura ITM saw how much the centre meant to the community and stepped up to take on the role of a major sponsor. What evolved from that was a partnership that benefitted both the aquatic centre and Kaikoura ITM.

Dayle ITM

Long-time supporters of motorsport, Dayle ITM are a familiar presence across the New Zealand motorsport community. Dayle ITM has sponsored countless motorsport events and is a key partner of the Motorsport Club. As strong advocates for the sport, Deborah and Martin Day of Dayle ITM believe in investing in New Zealand drivers and are currently the major sponsors for Kiwi talents Brendon Leitch, Christine Orr-West and Saxon Sheehan. Christine Orr-West, a Kiwi pioneer for women in motorsport, tells her story and what Dayle ITM's support means to her.

Southern Lakes ITM

Ask any of the folks at Southern Lakes ITM about their community support, and they could easily rattle off a long list. But, they're most proud of their support for the Kiwi Birdlife Park (KBP). Along with key supply partners, Southern Lakes ITM committed $20k in supplies for building a new Kiwi enclosure. As well as continuing to provide materials free of charge where needed, Southern Lakes ITM also donate to local school groups that are active supporters of the park.

When their local surf club reached out for help with a $3.5 million re-build, Tuakau ITM rolled up their sleeves to pitch in.
