ITM stores are part of their communities — supporting local clubs, schools, and charitable causes.
Supporting local communities has always been a part of our DNA at ITM. Most of our 90+ stores around Aotearoa support a local club, school or a charity-based organisation through sponsorship.
Our sponsorships are about more than just donating money though. They're about helping uplift the communities that we live in. We're pleased to showcase some of our stores' incredible work in their local communities.
Ask any of the folks at Southern Lakes ITM about their community support, and they could easily rattle off a long list. But, they're most proud of their support for the Kiwi Birdlife Park (KBP). Along with key supply partners, Southern Lakes ITM committed $20k in supplies for building a new Kiwi enclosure. As well as continuing to provide materials free of charge where needed, Southern Lakes ITM also donate to local school groups that are active supporters of the park.
Builder Sam Ashby and Albany ITM GM Terry Robinson are passionate about being out in the wilderness. Sam’s a keen hunter, and Terry’s into tramping big time. They’re also die-hard conservationists who formed a group around two years ago to cull predators from our native forests. The results have been nothing short of extraordinary.
It's not often that Maria Grace is asked to measure materials for a boat jetty. As a quantity surveyor at EH Ball ITM Invercargill, her table is usually full of house plans. But she happily took up the challenge when Southland Fish & Game approached EH Ball with engineering drawings for a boat jetty on Lake Monowai – one of Fiordland's most stunningly beautiful lakes.
